CONFIDENCE TIP: Redefine “my best”

A common confidence mistake I see a lot (and I used to do a lot) is defining “my best” as what you can do in ideal conditions.

GUESS WHAT????

Ideal conditions NEVER exist!

Every time you judge your performance in the real world against what you can do in ideal conditions you will feel not good enough.

The solution is to redefine “my best” as “my best in the conditions”.

Some times your best in the conditions will be a solid 80% effort, but sometimes your best in the conditions is 5% and that’s still “THE BEST” you could do, in those conditions!

So, change your definition of “my best” and I promise you’ll increase your confidence.
